Utah Mobile  IV Therapy FAQ

  • WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF IV THERAPY?

Fluids, vitamins, and medications can be delivered throughout the body most efficiently and effectively through IV therapy.

Bypassing the digestive system, IV therapy is used when you cannot swallow fluids.

The benefits of IV therapy include:

    • General fatigue
    • Athletes recovering or preparing for an event/competition
    • Hangovers
    • Rejuvenate and hydrate your skin
    • Nausea/Vomiting
    • Headaches
    • Migraines
    • Flu/viral illness symptoms
    • B12 Deficiency
    • Food poisoning
    • E Coli

  • WHAT MAKES YOUR IV YELLOW? IS THIS A BANANA BAG?

When infused with B Complex, sodium becomes a different color. Alcohol not only dehydrates you, but depletes Vitamin B1, which is used in our IV packages to help you recover faster.

  • HELP! It's 3 a.m. I SEE ON YOUR WEBSITE YOU ARE 24 HOURS.

Yes, depending on location and availability

  • WHO SHOULD GET IV THERAPY?

Nearly everyone! Pure IV Utah's IV hydration packages are suitable for almost everyone, regardless of medical history.

  • HOW OFTEN DO I NEED IV THERAPY?

You can choose this based on your requirements.

There are some patients who receive weekly IV drips for wellness or detoxification.

Many patients receive IV drips for chronic or acute illness, food poisoning, E Coli, flu, or any other bacterial/viral infection.

Some migraine sufferers keep our number in their speed dial because getting an IV at the first sign of a migraine can reduce its severity or stop it entirely.

As needed, we treat patients recovering from hangovers, sports injuries, or dehydration caused by working in the summer sun.

  • I'M A HARD STICK - WHAT IF YOU CAN'T GET AN IV?

Our medical professionals are highly skilled and experienced in obtaining IVs and using products and techniques that reduce pain. Because we do not administer IV's in an emergency situation, we are able to take our time to find the best IV access. In the unlikely event that IV access cannot be obtained, intramuscular medications may still be administered; however, this is extremely rare.

  • WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR IV THERAPY AT HOME?

Patients must weigh at least 100 pounds or be at least 12 years old to qualify. A patient needs to be completely cooperative to receive intravenous injections.

  • HOW LONG DOES IV THERAPY AT HOME TAKE?

Depending on the patient and what you do, you can expect an IV appointment to last between 30 and 60 minutes.

  • ARE YOU MOBILE?

YES! We can visit Utah residents at their place of business, home, or hotel without charging them a travel fee. For your convenience, every medical professional serving this area is located in Utah.

  • DO YOU TAKE TIPS?

Definitely! We accept tips for our nurses and appreciate them very much.

  • DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

In addition to cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards, we also accept HSAs, FSAs, and HSAs. Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance.

  • WHAT KIND OF PATIENT DO YOU SEE THE MOST?

The backgrounds of our patients are diverse. In addition to general illnesses, fatigue, dehydration, and food poisoning, many of our patients also suffer from hangovers.

  • HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?

A set of protocols has been approved by our medical director; all treatments follow his orders, so you do not need a prescription from your doctor. It is our policy to only hire paramedics and nurses who are certified, trained, and skilled in the administration of intravenous fluids.

  • GLUTATHIONE: WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

The body's main antioxidant, glutathione is responsible for maintaining optimal nervous system health, the health of the liver, and provides protection against free radicals and oxidative stress.

  • I’M ON HOSPICE, CAN YOU TREAT ME?

Definitely! We assist many hospice patients.

  • MY FSA OR HSA REJECTED MY IV CLAIM. WHAT CAN YOU DO?

We can only provide you with a detailed receipt.

  • CAN YOU ACCESS PORTS?

    We do not access ports.
